Hi Gurus, I'm a 5th year PR but my wife is just a 2nd year PR (will be third year PR in May 2020 next year), which means we will only be eligible to buy resale HDB next year.

1.) We are looking to buy a 4 RM HDB
2.) The intent to buy, as far as i can see from the HDB portal is that my wife has to be a 3rd year PR for the purpose of applying for the Intent to Purchase.
3.) Is there anyway to accelerate the paperwork (ie. bank documents, OTP) before the Intent to buy? Or should everything start after the Intent to buy?

Thanks.

Hi Sir,

As both you and your Wife are PRs, she will have to be meet the 3 years PR before you are eligible to purchase a HDB resale flat. There is no need to do any paperwork at this point in time as it will be way too early. Next year, your ages and income will change, so whatever you do today will not be valid until next year.

Alternatively, you may wish to consider private housing or resale EC, where there is no such restrictions.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Hi,

Both of you may start deciding on the property location, high or low floor preferred and etc to shorten the viewing time in future.

Once both pr are eligible, you can start to engage agent and everything will be taken care off including 'shortening' the timeline.
