Good morning,

Apartment and condo differs in land size. Apartment will have a smaller land size compared to condo. Apartment nowadays have as many facilities compared to a full fledged condo.

Executive condo (EC) are condos introduced by HDB. Owners are not eligible to sell EC until MOP is up and from the 6th to 10th years, owners can only sell to SC or SPR. Only after 11th year onwards when its privatised then foreigners are eligible to purchase.

If its a married SPR couple and both are SPRs for at least 3 years, you guys are eligible to purchase a resale HDB.

2 PRs can purchase new or resale private condo or apartments, as well as resale EC that has met their 5 years minimum occupation period. In terms of differences, not much between condo and resale ECs as resale ECs will be fully privatised at the end of 10 years. For apartment, usually is the size of development that is smaller and will like appeal to those who prefers more privacy.

1) Condominiums (Condos): are private residential properties that are developed and managed by private developers. They typically come with facilities such as swimming pools, gyms, and playgrounds, and may have additional services such as security and maintenance provided.

2) Executive Condominiums (ECs): are a type of public-private hybrid housing option in Singapore. They are developed and sold by private developers but are subject to certain eligibility criteria and government regulations.
- For example, ECs are only available to Singaporean citizens and are subject to a minimum occupation period of 5 years before they can be sold on the open market. Owners can only sell to SC or SPR from 6th to 10th year. From11th year onwards, when it is fully privatised, foreigners will be eligible to purchase.
- ECs offer similar amenities to condos, but are typically priced lower.

3) Apartments: Apartments are typically smaller and more affordable than condos and ECs. They are usually part of a larger residential building, and may or may not come with facilities such as swimming pools and gyms.
Apartments are generally more common in older housing estates in Singapore.

4) Both applicants must be at least be SPR for minimum 3 years to be eligible to buy a HDB flat.
