There are 2 schools of thought when coming to engaging single or multiple agents.
The main reason would be because you only need to pay the agent who complete the transactions.
Coming to this, would you consider engaging many doctors to conduct surgery for you?
Or would you consider engage multiple lawyers to fight your legal case?
The answer to the above is usually "No", because you have to pay for every consultation regardless whether it helps you.
So putting yourselves in our shoes, do you think engaging multiple agents help in getting your objective.
When there are many agents involved, they only want to close the transaction rather interested in adhereing to your objective.
Thus you will properly have to view many properties that beyond or does not fit your objective.
Lots of time will be wasted in pure viewing, and no one is interested in what you want. Once the list is exhausted, none of them will response to you.
I've met such client going over this scenario with me, spent a year or so but never get to buy anything.
She came to me finally, and we spent 3 months together to view on only projects worth viewing, and put in deep consideration to buy an ideal unit for her own stay in a reasonable good price.
This cannot be achieve if she is not sincere and I couldn't concentrate to find her a good unit but just trying to flood her with hundreds of unit to view.
Remember your objective is to find a unit that fits your objective, for own stay or investment with an acceptable price, and not to get free tour around Singapore.
