Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has opened The St. Regis Lhasa Resort, the first-ever luxury resort in Tibet and the first property for St Regis in China.

The St. Regis Lhasa Resort features 150 guest rooms and 12 villas and suites, including the Presidential Suite. Among the resort’s sustainable features include solar panels, locally-sourced produce and herbs for its restaurants, as well as an underground water recycling system.
The resort also offers an array of epicurean experiences, like at the Social, which features a wide selection of international cuisine; the Si Zi Kang, a Tibetan restaurant; and the Yan Ting, which serves Cantonese and Sichuabese cuisine.
The St. Regis Lhasa Resort also includes Decanter by Haut-Brisson, the first wine bar in the region serving more than 140 labels of wine, liquors and aged cigars. It also features a signature Tea Room, as well as its signature St. Regis Butler Service. St. Regis will also open the Iridium Spa, its newest spa brand at the St. Regis Lhasa Resort, which is set to become the highest luxury spa in the world.
