The Glyndebourne, a 150-unit freehold condo development, has sold 75 percent or 112 units in a private preview held last weekend.
City Developments Limited (CDL), which is developing the project, said 70 percent of the total buyers were Singaporeans, with the remaining 30 percent comprising permanent residents and foreigners from the US, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, India, Indonesia, China, Brunei, Myanmar and Malaysia.
The 112 units sold fetched prices that ranged from $1,900 psf to $2,350 psf, giving an average price of about S$2,100 psf.
All one-bedroom plus study, two-bedroom and three-bedroom plus study units were sold in the private preview, as well as 10 of the 23 penthouses.
The 180,000 sq ft development comprises eight 5-storey residential towers on a site that currently houses the Copthorne Orchid Hotel Singapore. It is located within close proximity to the planned Botanic Gardens and Stevens Road MRT Station.
“Based on feedback from our buyers, the development’s excellent location and easy access to amenities is a key draw. Its freehold status, sizeable plot of land and the array of well appointed, quality apartments with various sizes to cater to the differing needs of our clients are also plus points,” said Chia Ngiang Hong, general manager of CDL Group.
