Property group UOL is releasing 80 more units at Spottiswoode Residences after buyers snapped up 130 of the 150 units released during the project’s preview last week.

The units were sold at prices of between $1,720 psf and $2,150 psf, and four of the seven penthouses have been sold, with one fetching around $1,850 psf.

“Of the buyers, 86 percent were Singaporeans who snapped up the higher-priced units which command sea views. They include doctors, professionals, bankers and businessmen,” said UOL.

The 36-storey freehold project, which is located near Outram MRT Station, comprises 351 units, mostly one- and two-room units. The 130 units sold include a dozen units purchased by former owners of apartments in the two residential projects that used to stand on the site, Oakswood Heights and Spottiswoode Apartment.

UOL purchased the two adjoining properties through separate collective sales deals in 2007. It acquired Oakswood Heights for $740 psf ppr, while it paid $732 psf ppr for Spottiswoode Apartment.
