The URA has launched a hotel site at Robinson Road and Boon Tat Street for sale through public tender, after a developer committed to bid not less than S$30.8 million.
It was made available for sale on June 22 through the government’s Reserve List system.
The site is located at the junction of Robinson Road and Boon Tat Street, within the heart of Singapore’s CBD, and is in close proximity to the business and financial districts of Raffles Place and Marina Bay.
The land parcel has a total site area of 1,859.9 sq m and a maximum permissible gross floor area (GFA) of 7,450 sq m, including 4,016 sq m of GFA from a conservation building, which represents Singapore’s business district in the first half of the 20th Century.
The prominent location of the site and distinctive architecture of the conservation building offers an excellent opportunity to create a high-quality boutique hotel development in the heart of the city’s business and financial district.
The URA said developers will be allowed to bid on either a 30-year or 60-year lease term to provide greater flexibility.
The tender for the site will close on January 5.
