A site at Yuan Ching Road has been launched for sale under the Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS).
Proposed for public housing development, the 99-year leasehold site could potentially yield up to 580 housing units. It has a total site area of 21,199.7 sq m and a maximum allowable gross floor area of 63,599.1 sq m with a gross plot ratio of 3.0.
Under the DBSS scheme, developers enjoy the flexibility in designing, pricing and selling the project. Upon completion, the developer will hand over the entire project to HDB for lease administration and to the Town Council for maintenance of common areas.
The Yuan Ching Road site is located near the Jurong Lake District, which is expected to be developed into a unique lakeside destination for business and leisure. It is close to Boon Lay Shopping Centre, Taman Jurong, IMM and Jurong Point, providing residents with shopping, food and entertainment amenities. The upcoming Jurong Gateway commercial development will also increase the retail opportunities in the area.
The tender for the site will close on January 5.
