Bangkok's priciest condos named

Thailand’s Agency for Real Estate Affairs (AREA) has revealed its list of the most expensive condominium units for sale on the open market in Bangkok at the end of June 2014.

Dr.Sopon Pornchokchai, President of AREA, said the selling prices of units on higher floors with better views could reach as much as THB400,000 per sqm. However the most expensive units in Bangkok are still cheaper than units in either Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai or Dubai according to AREA.

Top of the list of the most expensive homes in Bangkok is a penthouse unit at Raimon Land’s 185 Rajadamri, measuring 469 sqm with a total price of THB349,680 per sqm. This equates to a few satang short of THB164 million.

Runner-up goes to another penthouse unit, this time at Marque Sukhumvit measuring 400 sqm with a price of THB300,000 per sqm and a total price of around THB120 million.
