In a Facebook post last night, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said Potong Pasir has come a long way since its early days as a sand quarry.

Earlier, he had visited the newly built annex at Potong Pasir Community Club (CC), which offers more amenities to the public.

“Residents can now use a post office, POSBank, and Fairprice supermarket when they visit the CC,” said Mr Lee.

He also commended MP for Potong Pasir Sitoh Yih Pin and his team for working hard for more than a decade to win support from residents, and to improve their lives.

Potong Pasir had been an opposition stronghold for over 25 years before the PAP won it in the 2011 General Election.
