Carpark Problem
Lived here for past 3 years. Overall ok. Except 1 major problem. The development is lacking carpark lots. 1 unit 1 car. Extra lots (for units without car) are balloted and sold at $200/mth. I understand most new condos are like that. So this is definitely one factor you want to look out for if you intend to buy here. Used to live in Seletaris near Gambas. Well-sufficient car park lots. 3 cars 1 unit also no problem. Just pay abit for 2nd and 3rd car. Take care and good luck if you have more than 1 car in your household. I am moving to HDB soon. -

Another Record Price Set in Sep
This property is playing catch up recently. URA website indicate $937PSF in the month of Sep. That is almost another 5% percent increase. With announcements of the SpringLeaf station, this property will increase in value within 5 mins bus ride to Khatib, Yishun and Springleaf MRT in 5mins only. Many of the enblockers and people missing out on the more hotly contested MRT will find this very attractive. At the rate it is going it should hit $1000PSF soon. Happy for the residents there. -

New record price done again
Another record price was set last month $900 psf. So the next target could be @ 5% growth. Now the new asking price for Northwood is close to $1000 psf. The Sensoria was sold recently at $933 psf and the condo has no match for facilities that Northwood condo has. So good news for residents of Northwood condo. -

Northwoods
Lian Beng is the main contractor. For a 140 unit condo, the number of units on sale is really high, and sellers are desperate to get out. When the NSE construction comes along, the amount of dust and noise will disrupt the peace and dirty the walls of this condo. And the place may be falling apart then since quality of construction at beginning is real lousy. -

Nice And Peaceful Place To Live In
I'm the new owner and my whole family loves the condo as it is very peaceful. I read some dissapointed reviews and comments and I totally disagree with them because in Yishun,Sembawang and Woodlands,it is very hard to find freehold condominiums.The price has increased to around 865psf. The renting price has also increased over the years and it has been stable at around 3,500-3,600. The transport links are also quite good as there is a bus stop nearby.The interior of the condo units are very nice,and I'm very pleased with that.The condo facilities are also quite good and well-maintained. -

LOOKING FORWARD
Hi!I just bought a unit at Northwood, and will move in soon.i appreciate the entrance, it is nicely design and with big space.before i moving, i hear people talking about helicopter sound, but i think it will be ok after close the sliding door.i love the design it is what in my mind,my chilren also studying at Yishun. -

Big disappointment
I have been living here with my family since day one. However I have sold my apartment because I am really disappointed. True, this is freehold and new, but look beyond the facade. The hyped up helicopter is not really the problem - it's the quality of the entire condo. Water seepages are common, quality of furnishings are lousy - the main contractor has done a very poor job. Do you know several of the glass balconies have cracked and shattered? And we are talking about 6-7 cases in less than a year. I fear for my children's safety - who know when next one might shatter from 5th floor again? They are rebuilding them now, but the root of the problem is in the structure. A year after TOP, many things have fallen apart - yah this is freehold, but can it even last 10 years? I seriously don't think so. -

NORTHWOOD CONDO
I have been staying at Northwood condo since Dec 2009, and residents should be appreciate of the peaceful environment of the surrounding. Those reviews that complains about noise from helicopter most likely being living in the mountain or cave in the passed years. Or they are most likely tenants who cannot afford the high rentals incurred recently from passed rate of $2.2K to current rental rate of $3.6K I had stayed in HDB flats in the north for the passed 40 years, and never one night sleep peacefully with noise pollution produce by cars, bus, lorries, motorbike and airplanes/helicopter. Finally i moved into this new condo ( first condo i bought), and i felt that i truly find peace in the night since the condo is not close to main road. My kids also feel the same. Though in the day time, there is noise sometimes from the Apache taking off but it is still bearable. I stayed in the north in the passed so this noise is common to us where helicopter fly passed our HDB block almost every day. But i believe this noise is consider nothing compare to residents in the east side, where the fighter jet or commercial jet landed and take off. This is a freehold property and the value will definitely appreciate over the years. I am looking at $1,100 psf by 2015. -

Directly beside helicopter airport
Another factor to consider when buying this development is the safety.This development is located directly beside the heli airport. With the recent crash landing of heilicopter near Sembawang. Possibility of crash landing happening on areas around the airport has increased. -
