I was interested in optima and as the units available within my budges were facing MRT so I decided to give it a visit and see how much of issue is it really is.
I went there arnd 8 at evening and stayed for 15-20 min.
Observation:
Noise from MRT wont be audible if you keep the windows closed. Open at ur own risk.
But major issue is the road, which no one seems to have picked on.
Noise from the adjacent road coupled with mrt is really too much. Units near the MRT will be a really bad choice. Unless u like stay on road :-)

Dream Home
Have been to many properties viewing both New and Older projects.
Weighing between Prices and Location and the Amenities around this project ,moreover it is not near any HDB blocks and the vicinity is Serene with lots of Private Residential around.
There is No such Perfect Condo that meets all Criteria,hence i really look forward to stay and be part of the Residents in this sought after area.
For people looking for convenience (mrt at doorstep) and Good Environment this is definitely the One to go for.Cheers

Going to stay in Optima for sure
Eagerly looking forward to the completion of my beloved unit in Optima. I have great confident that Optima's value is going to appreciate as time goes by.
Given it's excellent location and superb private residential embience in it's surrounding environment, one would wonder why it's value wouldn't go northward.
Coupled with the reliable and reputable developer, it served as an added re-assurance to my investment.
Total (297) units size is just about right too and not too huge (not over-crowding)
One potential drawback (also it's attraction) is the proximity to MRT station. There are concern of possible noise distraction.
Tell you what, while waiting during the balloting exercise, I stood just outside the show flat entrance for more than 30minutes. Yes, for those has been the show flat, you will know this means literally standing face-to-face next to the MRT station entrance, MRT noise is hardly audible. My worry is absolutely unfounded.
My other key interest in this project lies in the Master Plan 2008.
There shall be a commercial project smack next to Optima. Our family has even given it a name. The Merah Mall :)

A game plan that is set to take off
I have been watching a lot of properties in Singapore and around the world. As the population grows (car population as well) there is a clear and sustained interest in properties near to amenities including transport. Unless I am wrong, Optima is one of the projects that is likely to take off when the sites around it is sold in particular the commercial site next to it. Not surprisingly, it was actually sold in just one day instead of the 3 days reported. I shall be watching the psf for this project as part of my worldwide review on homes near the MRT.
