Hi Fred,
You should be going for a bridging loan from a bank. The CPF refund from the selling of your HDB can be used to contra the CPF portion required for the purchase. Some banks will let you contra the cash portion. Will suggest that you talk to the banker first to determine your loan quantum before making any purchase.

Hi Fred,

You can do a bridging loan but you must have a buyer to commit your house than you can get a bridging loan.

However, you still have to pay the Stamp-Duty using cash unless you can get a personal loan for that portion.

1.Firstly, do a financial calculation on the HDB. what is the cash you will get back.
2. what is the cpf ordinary account of both the HDB owners( is this enough for deposit of the condo-15%)
3. what is the ready cash you have on hand for 5% of condo price
4. selling HDB takes 3 months to complete.
you need to get an extension from your buyer for you to move out smoothly to the next house.
5. speak to a banker for the loan amount estimate to narrow down the type you wish to purchase.
