Am looking to buy a house. My agent is looking and making viewing appts for me but certain houses they said the sellers were on holiday or can't view now. Rather than asking my agent to call them again i thought i will just send the agents quick sms/whatapp to check on availability this week before asking my agent to takes thing further but to my surprise all 3 agents did not send me a reply even after reading my message. Am wondering why is that so? Do agents only communicate with their fellow agents and not to the public?

Good morning buyer,

Probably you can drop them a call to understand the situation. Most agents will cobroke with fellow agents and deal with direct buyers.

Their units might be sold or on hold, that's why they never reply your messages.

Hi,

Another reason could be this :

You have an agent (A) representing you , helping you search and make appts for viewing.

By contacting the seller agents (B) directly, you become B's direct client. i presume you have also told B that you have agent A representing you.

So should A or B represent you ?

As you already have A, it would be best to let A deal with B.. Read More

Dear buyer,

Are you looking at purchasing a HDB or private property? When dealing with private properties sale, I believe most listing salespersons prefer to liase directly with buyers.
