you will require a valuation when you intend to use CPF OA funds and/ or housing loan.

It can be applicable for new launch or resale purchase.

Hi,

As long as CPF OA usage or bank loan is involved, there will be a need for independent valuation.

It will be applicable for both new launches and resale. There is no right or wrong in terms of going to bankers or mortgage brokers, the most important is to go with one who will be available to address your queries and pro-active to complete the banking paperwork and procedures in time.

Hi Sir/Mdm,

If you are purchasing a resale unit, it is best to check the bank valuation before you make a formal offer so as not to over pay for the unit. For new launches, there is no need for valuation as the bank valuation will be able to match the purchase price.
