Can I request the joint cheque to be divided equally into 3 shares for 3 flat owners?If no,how to ensure that I share the same amount as the other two flat owners?What if my parents promised to give me a certain amt but after that did not fulfil their promise? Anyone of the 3 owners can withdraw the cheque amt?pls advise...

Evening Lee,

For the sales of HDB unit, HDB will only issue cheque under separate names in the case of divorce. Cheques will be issued under joint names for most other cases. As to how the owners divide the cash proceed, it has nothing to do with HDB.
Being a joint account, the method of withdrawal would have being decided upon the opening of the account. I'm sure that your salesperson would have the basic knowledge to advise you accordingly.
