Currently I owe a few banks credit card debts. I have already defaulted on the payment and it's have been almost 8 years now. Is it still possible for me to get a loan from banks which I do not owe them money as I intend to sell my current flat to clear my debts.

Morning Mike,

All banks are able to obtain your credit record easily hence it would be unlikely for you to get any other loans from other banks. UPon selling of your unit and clearing your debts, bank will only start to reconsider your loan ability after you have maintained a good record for the next 6 months.
