First of all, you would need to get a rough indication of how much the bank is willing to lend if you would to purchase the property.

If you are buying a studio with a price of say $700,000. Assuming that you got a 90% loan, then the cash/cpf portion needed would be:
1) 10% of purchase price : $70,000
2) Stamp duty payable: $$15,600
3) Lawyer fee say: $2,500

Do let me know if you are interested in speaking to a banker to get the primarily income assessment done. I will recommend to you the bankers that my oversea/regular clients often used.
