Dear Guru,

I'm getting married early next year. Am I eligible to purchase a bummed out TOP EC or DBSS unit with my fiance right now? Agents have told me I need to produce a ROM cert within 3-months upon purchase or the developer will reject my sale. Is there any way to go about this? I am willing to make a purchase right away, but can't ROM due to auspicious reasons.

What do you mean by bummed out?

Btw you are eligible to purchase under fiancé/ fiancée scheme. If you never take any housing grant, you just need to produce your marriage certificate within 3 months from taking possession of the unit. If you do take any housing grant, you have to produce it before taking possession.

Hi,

If you are referring to EC/DBSS units that are close to TOP or have TOP, if you are taking grant, the official policy is that you have to produce ROM cert within 3 months before key collection. If you are not taking grant, within 3 months after key collection is possible.
