Dear Guru, we are interested to procure a new private property with the expected TOP of 2016. However, we are still living in a DBSS that is 2 years old and we bought direct from HDB with grants. In other word, we are still yet to meet the MOP criteria. Is the HDB rule allow us to do so? We will be physically staying in the DBSS for the full MOP, but purchase the new property in advance.

Evening Nat,

Depending on which DBSS project you have purchased, some of them include the waiting time after selection into their MOP period. You might want to look into your OTP or check it out with HDB branch office to get a definite answer.

Other than this issue, once you have fulfilled your MOP, you are eligible to purchase private property of any sizes.
