Dear PropertyGuru,

My father would like to invest in property in Singapore. Due to his foreigner status, I understand that he is only eligible to purchase condo. We are not looking for new condo and open to any locations, as long as its location is fine and has investment value such as rents. Please advice, thanks.

Dear Lucinda

You may like to consider condos in the Tanjong Rhu area, which have good investment/ rental yield with its proximity to the upcoming integrated resort, Central Business District, and Garden by the Bay ( completed in 2011).

If you are looking to rent out the unit, you could consider selecting one that comes with tenancy.

Hi Lucinda,

Your understanding on foreign investor is correct. However, there are landed units at Sentosa Cove which can be purchased by foreigners. These units however, may not yield the best returns.

Take a look at D9, D10, D11 & D15 properties. There are still some pretty good deals around.

You may also need to plan how to invest efficiently to maximize your yield.

Do let me know if you need assistance.

Cheers,
Greg
