Good evening,

Yes typically cheque is used. Alternatively you can obtain a cashier's order at the bank for the exact amount for the option fee. Bank transfer is also possible depending on the seller's preference, but it is not encouraged as its safer to issue a cheque or cashier's order in the seller's name(s) as indicated in the legal ownership title.

Good evening Sir/ Mdm,

It will be great that you can obtain a cheque book to issue cheques for purchase. Some clients do use cheque from their family members as well. If not you can consider to obtain cashier order but it could be a haste to get one from bank.

Last resort will be bank transfer.

It's fine that you do not have a cheque book because you are either obtain a cashier's order from the bank or do a bank transfer to the owner. Do take note that the mode of payment is to be written clearly inside the Option to Purchase document.

1) Electronic fund transfers or cashier orders are one of the methods for the downpayment.
2) If you are doing a DIY purchase, make sure you verified the ownership of the property before making any payment.
3) The above methods are for the buyer who does not have a cheque book.
4) Do be reminded that do not pay anyone else other than the rightful owner.
