Hi,
HDB market will not be as affected by the US market as compared to the private property in Singapore as it is not a commodity. Sellers will not sell their HDB at a whim as they will have to still decide where to stay after selling their place. Unlike investment private properties where owners can just sell their property just for the cash flow.
However, i would expect the resale prices to increase as owners (who will be buying after selling) are worried that they do not have enough cash for the next purchase and extra cash to tide over the bad times. And buyers, especially those that desperately needs a roof over their heads will not mind paying for the extra premium due to the lack of supply.
