Hello Dear Professional Agent(s),
My situation and scenario is pretty much hassle, please be patient and kindly advise me...
I'm 33 unmarried with no sibling and have a parent in his late 60s.
My dad divorced with my late mom 25 years back, they sold their 1st hdb that time, I strongly believe my dad did not take any grant and/or loan nor utilise his cpf at all.
So now, we got a 2rm flat that's coming to MOP this month July 2023.
My dad being the sole owner and me being the occupier.
For this flat, he has NOT taken any grant/loan at all and fully paid in cash.
My main concern/question(s) comes:
I am aware that we can upgrade to a bigger unit by purchasing resale only.
The resale I'm looking at is currently at 61 or 60 years lease left.
#1-If I at 33 now, were to buy a resale with my dad, I know there will not be any grant for us but will there be a resale levy? (I have tried on HDB website but not apply to get a HFE)
#2-If I wait until age 35 and purchase resale as main applicant while my dad is occupier, will I be eligible for grant under Family nucleus or Single? (I tried HFE but its SingPass so it knows I'm 33 now so it won't advise me any further)
#3-By the info and details I provided, and keep reading the eligibility on HDB, supposedly, my dad should be a first timer if he and I wants to buy a resale together, isn't this right? Or should I book appointment and make our way down to HDB HQ?
