Hello. I'm foreign buyer, and would like to buy a condo in SG. I do not intend to take a loan. I would like to know what are all the documents the bank needs in order to buy a flat in SG?

You do NOT need to provide any documents to the bank since you are not taking any loan from the bank .

You need to provide your passport and / or identification paper to the revelant authorities .

You need to be able to verify the source of the cash that is being used to buy the condo .

Hi,

If you do not need any loan, you will not need to prepare any document to bank.

As a foreigner, you need to understand your financial commitment & eligibility to stay in Singapore.

Other than the property cost, you have to prepare for stamp duty which is one of huge payout other than the property.

You are required to pay for basic stamp duty (approximate to 3%) + additional basic stamp duty (ABSD) 15% & legal fee (approx to $2,000 to $3,000).

Of course, stamp duty also dependent on where you are from, there are five countries that do not require to pay ABSD.

You have to produce your passport, employment pass or any other document to prove you legal status to stay in Singapore.

Hi, I would suggest that you get in touch with any of my banker first, so as to access the loan eligibility and with that you would be able to know what is the max purchase price of the unit to go for.

Oh I'm sorry, misread that you actually do not need any loan. Then for your case, you do not need to liaise with any banker. Simply consult any lawyer will do when it comes to paper work for the purchasing of your next housing.
