Hello,

Shoud the Buyer pay 1% for buying a private property.Without knowing the rule i have signed the contrat to pay 1%, but later i found that Buyer need not pay when buying a Private property.

Since i have signed the contract is legally bound for me to pay 1%.

Please advise.

If you have signed the contract it is legally bounded if you buy a property through him and if it is exclusive, the commission may need to be split between the exclusive and the other agent serving you. Read More

Hi Sunny,

There is not rule stating the amount of commission to be paid and by who. There may be a lot of scenarios that can be used to explain for this case.

Since you are already bounded by contact, the best would be to ensure the smooth transition of the deal.
