Hi experts,

i have found a job overseas recently and have just bought my flat for about a year only, which means i am unable to sell this as i have not met MOP.
I was wondering if i can write in to HDB to allow me to rent out the place while i'm overseas? Take note that in my case this is not overseas posting but more of me finding a good work opportunity out there.

Hi Mr Ivan Lin,

Yes, you are able to write in to HDB and appeal to rent out the flat in this case with proof that you are going to work overseas. But bear in mind that this will mean the MOP will stop calculating upon your rental and start to calculate back when you are back to Sin and stay back in the rental flat.
