You need some key facts here.
I suggest you may want to verify this personally
via:

1. www.ura.gov.sg (Singapore Statutory Board that covers statistics of rental yield, residential index e.t.c.

2. www.iras.gov.sg is what you need to verify next with regards to Property Tax.

3. www.ica.gov.sg, deals with the immigration, social passes and e.t.c. with regards to your questions can be found in there too. Travelling to Singapore frequently shouldn't be much of an issues, the main issue will be how long you stay in Singapore. If stays are longer than 1month, then special permit need to be obtain from the relevant authorities.

Presently there are no property gain tax. In 1996, capital gain tax was introduce to curb speculations during overheat market at that time. Therefore capital gain tax are subject to changes which we don't know.
