Hi Gurus. I bought a hdb flat. My seller is doing a contra. We have already fix a first appt. But I recently understand that the 3rd party is going through a divorce case. This issue might drag the sale. If I want to get out of the sale,what kind of implication will there be? I read your coloums and u mention legal sueing. What will be the damages be?

Hi Lancy,

You can actually try to consult LAB for legal advice and see what they say. Although its true that there is an option of the seller trying to sue you, there is also the case where the additional time and effort might cause the seller to think twice. Give LAB a call and see what is the legal implications that you might face.
