Hi i just got my HLE and it states that i am getting a $103,400* loan which to me is insufficient.can i appeal to stretch it further?on what grounds did they calculate that i should get such a low loan while i am trying to buy a 4room flat? Is it because of now my wife has resigned and im working alone? i am trying to buy a 4room flat as it is near my daughter's school and my working place.
we were shocked that we got the loan of $103,400* much differece of the one we got 3 months back at $251,800 while my wife is still working.

please advise.
thanks.

From what i understand, HDB calculate the loan amount based on the household income and mumber of dependent. For your case, you are the only person who are working, your salary not only need to pay monthly instalment, but also need to support your family.HDB will factor all these things before giving out the loan.
