Hi, I own a private condo under my name but intend to purchase a HDB resale flat with my wife. Do I have to sell off my condo and wait 30 months before applying for resale HDB, or can I purchase a resale HDB first and sell off my condo within 6 months? Or both are applicable? Thank you.

Afternoon Sam,

If you are applying for new HDB unit, you are required sell after your private property and wait for 30 months before your te eligible for the application. If you as looking at resale HDB unit, you can opt to purchase first, if your financial status is good, and sell after your private property within 6 months from key collection.
