Hi, I’m a 24-year-old Indian woman based in Singapore, and I’m looking to enter the real estate industry.
I’ve run my own business for a few years, so I’m confident in sales, client relations, and handling negotiations. Right now, I’m seriously considering becoming a licensed real estate agent, but I’d like to approach this strategically.
I’m particularly interested in focusing on a specific niche, perhaps private property (condos or landed homes), and working closely with Indian and Malay clients, since I can naturally relate to their needs and preferences.
I know I’m younger than most agents in this field, but I believe I can bring a fresh, energetic perspective. Do you think narrowing down to a specific segment, whether by property type or client demographic, would be a smart move in today’s market? Also, is there a visible gap or demand right now for Indian real estate agents, especially those who can build trust and provide culturally-aware service?
Would love to hear your take on the current market and whether this direction makes sense.
Thank you for your time!
