Good morning,

It depends on your age.

If you are not 55 years old and above, you have to dispose off your EC and observe 15 months waiting period first before you are eligible to purchase a resale HDB.

If you are 55 years old and above, you are eligible to purchase a resale flat up to 4rm after selling off your resale EC without observing 15 months waiting period.

If you are 55 years old and above, you can buy resale HDB 4-room immediately after selling your EC. If not, you will have to wait out 15 months first. You will have to be 55 years old or above in order to purchase a 4room or smaller resale HDB immediately after your sale. Otherwise you will need to wait out for a period of 15 months after the sale of your EC. For the above, it is provided also that you meet other requisites of HDB purchase.

If either or both of you are below 55 years old, you will need to serve a wait-out period of 15 months after selling your EC before you can purchase a resale HDB flat from the open market.
