Asked by
Hi, I'm planning to buy a flat with a sea view after selling my 4R HDB flat in Bishan. I do not wish to take any loan and hope to pay off the new flat with the sales proceeds from my current flat.
Q1. Is this option feasible?
Q2. Should I sell my flat first then buy another later or sell and buy concurrently?

Would appreciate your advice on this.
Thanks much.

Dear owner,

Feasibility can only be advised once we understand more about the unit you are selling and the location of unit you intend to purchase. As both units are HDB, you may explore doing it concurrently as long as cash flow allows.

Afternoon,

HDB units with seaview are rare and hence it might be quite expensive. Assuming you are staying in 4 room flat at Bishan with marketing price of $620k, you will only know your actual profit after factoring out the Outstanding loan. Units along Pandan, Pasir Ris, Marine Parade, Kallang, Woodlands, Changi, Bedok South and West Coast may have selling price of $600k to $800k plus. Therefore, you might really need to work out the feastibility of your plans before going into it.
As for to buy first or later, it would depends on how much you want to sell your unit for and what kind of requirements you have for the purchase.

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.
