Hi, need urgent advise. My husband purchased bto under single scheme and pending key collection. Now we are married and I own a private property. In this case, will it affect his purchase completion?

Hi,

1) Getting married is a life event. No one can be sure when that might happen, especially the waiting time for BTO/SBF key collection is so long. Anything can happened in 3~5 years time!
2) I believed the HDB might require you to dispose your private residential property so that he could still be eligible to collect keys for the BTO.
3) Even though you might not meet the 30 months to be eligible to be an occupier when the key is ready for collection. The HDB will deal with such case on a one-by-one basis.
4) The important thing you have to note is all your statements are true and valid when you submit the appeal.
5) You should be fine by following the HDB advice on how you deal with the situation.
