Asked by
I am a singapore citizen looking to buy a resale flat under the non-citizen family scheme. My parents are divorced and both remarried with different partners but both of my parents are looking for another divorce. Would I be able to list the occupiers as my parents or do I have to list their partners as well?

Hi,

1) You intend to list one of your parents as an occupier, I presumed they must be foreigners.
2) Just to remind that if the parent you intend to include as occupier is PR. You may apply under the Public scheme.
3) If you are applying under the Non-Citizen Family scheme, you won't be able to apply for any grant unless you're at age of 35 or above.
4) In this case, your parent or parents shall be essential occupiers, because without that your application won't be valid.
5) You may add their partners in later, as they are just occupiers, and it is non-crucial to the application.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.
