I am a tenant and seek clarification in the diplomatic clause. TA is for 2 years.
I have paid rent for 1 complete year & currently running the 12th month of stay. My EP did not get renewed, thus having to leave the country. I have provided documentary evidence of the same to landlord. We agreed that I will vacate the apartment by mid month (rental paid till end of month) so that he is able to market his property ASAP. We also agreed that I would pay him additional half a month to recover landlord's Agent fees This would result in the return of only half month deposit upon hand over. However, once the hand over was done, the landlord refused to pay any deposit and threatened to charge me the remaining year rental.
I am really sad as I don’t have a job & even the rental deposit has now been kept by the landlord. My agent is ignoring my calls since a month.
Can anyone help me please and how I could approach?
