I've been viewing some units with some agents. I haven't made any decisions because of some viewing frustration.
Firstly is the price conflicts between the landlords' agents and tenants agents. Our agents clearly know that landlord's wishful price would only make all his clients run away. So they have to advertise a fake asking price.
Secondly, skin colour! I viewed an unit and the landlord's agent told me, there is actually a nice offer from an African doctor family. Curiously, I asked the agent why the landlord wouldn't take this offer since the rent 2500 is pretty good for D23 for a 3 bed little furnished room.
The agent said the landlord dislikes black people. He's soooo black... scary...
I can't believe tenants are evaluated also by the skin colour. Maybe I'm also re-evaluated by my husband's skin colour. I myself am Aisan, but I'm asked 20% more rental after the viewing as soon the landlorad's agents found out my husband is white.
