Hi Jason,

As you have mentioned that you have stayed in this unit for past 10years, you will be eligible to purchase a private property while keeping your existing HDB under the regulations.

Nevertheless, you need to be financially sound to be able to own both properties together, as you have mentioned that you intend to rent out your HDB to collect rental and may use this amount collected to help in servicing the loan for both properties.

Stanley has mentioned about the typical loan structure and cost involved in doing so.
