I am single PR, looking to buy a property in Singapore. Am I eligible to buy resale EC between 6 and 10 years old?

My agent says, single PR is not eligible to buy resale EC of less than 10 years old. He says, "The rules for EC less than 10 years is same as HDB. It requires the family nucleus." Is this correct? or single PR can buy?

Hi,

Once an EC have met the MOP, from 6th to 10th year, it can be sold in the open market as long the buyer meet the following criteria:

1) You must be a singapore citizen or PR
2) 21 years and above

You need not form a family nucleus to purchase, for example, a 21 year old single can buy a resale EC.

You can buy any resale EC that has met their 5 yrs MOP without any family nucleus so long as you are SC / SPR .. single buyer is allowed for resale EC.. I have few units resale EC just MOP.. please contact me for further info.. Thanks
