I have done the letter of probate for my deceased father's HDB flat
I intend to take over the flat. Can I renovate the flat before the transfer of ownership to me.

It is advisable that you wait a little while first till the ownership has been transferred to you.

Am unsure about the process for renovation application. You may wish to check with the contractor if they are able to advise. If owner's authorisation for renovation is not required, and you do not foresee any issue with taking over the flat, I suppose it should be ok. Read More
