Perhaps the best time to do so could be now, given that your child will also need time to adapt to the new environment before starting school. On top of that, the hassle involved in moving and packing may also take up a fair bit of your time out from your busy schedule. The sooner you fulfil the MOP required of a HDB, you can also start looking into real estate investments sooner if you are keen to purchase private residential. With the current still low interest rates, it will be beneficial to borrowers to look into their purchases to lock in the interest rates at least for the next couple of years.
