What is the procedure & payment like to sell a resale and get a bto/sbf?
Situation
1. Stayed at current resale flat for 10+ years
2. Parents planning to get a divorce
3. Would want to apply a bto flat with my mother
4. I am a first timer Sporean , My mother is a PR

Appreciate your sharing, for BTO best is you apply 1st and attain the unit before selling the resale HDB.

Good evening Sir/ Mdm,

Do take note that once your parents start the divorce proceeding, you guys might have to sell off your existing house depending on court order/ final judgement.

Completion of BTO/ SBF might take slightly longer due to the ongoing pandemic so you might have to plan ahead if not there will be a transition period that you guys might need to rent or find temporary accommodation before moving into BTO/ SBF.

Hi Sir/Mdm,

Sorry to hear about your situation. With the divorce, your parents will need to dispose off the HDB flat and the allocation of the assets will be determined by the court. You can apply for a BTO together with your mum but you will need to wait 4 to 5 years at least for the new BTO to be ready and therefore you may need to have an interim housing solution.
