i'm 57 now and looking to sell my 4 room hdb and buy a 2 bedroom condo. WIth the latest cooling measure, does it mean i have to pay a 40% downpayment with a maximum LTV of 60% if i take a 30 year loan. Or am i not allowed to take any loan beyond my retirement age of 65?

Hi Alvin, because of your age factor, most bank will lend you less then 30year loan. Hence you might need to go for lesser loan amount. I have also helped my client in similar cases before.
Feel free to contact me for a more detailed discussion so we can discuss on both buying and selling. Read More
