I'm a 33 year old Singaporean male just got married to a foreigner and she is applying PR. We are considering our choices.
Can we buy BTO once she obtained her PR?
We are also looking at alternatives like resale HDB/condo.
Our objective is to get biggest floor space possible as we are living with my parents (total 4) and hoping to have kids. Would like a 5 room or EA and above.

I have around 110k cpf, earning about 6k. Wife is earning about 2k.
Any recommendations within our means if we go for resale?
If we were to take 3rd party bank loan, is the repayment by cash or cpf?

Good morning buyer,

Yes both of you can apply for BTO if she turns SPR.

If not, you can purchase a resale HDB under non citizen spouse scheme. But do take note that only your income will be taken into consideration because your wife is a foreigner.

How much cash do you intend to use for this purchase?

It will be recommended to apply for HLE (HDB loan) or IPA (bank loan) first to check out how much can you loan up to.

Afternoon,

If you are looking at resale HDB unit and staying with your parents, you can purchase it under non-citizen spouse scheme and obtain housing grant of $20k if you are taking HDB loan.
As for the mortgage portion is to be taken with banks, it would be good to have your financial status assessed before committing.
