In view of the recent cooling measures that requires the seller to pay stamp duty within 4 years, what if I the property concerned goes enbloc within a year? Would the government require that I pay the seller’s stamp duty? Would it make a difference if I objected to the enbloc and yet it still go through?
Can you please advise on my rights as I understand that no party will lose money during an enbloc sale. In view of this, can you please advise if the following will be compensated :
1. Buyer’s & seller’s stamp duty (assume it is less than 4 years)
2. Interest from bank loan as a result from this purchase
3. Renovation
Thank you.
