Me and my wife are foreigners with both of us holding EP. We are new to Singapore (just about 3 months), but are excited at the property investment opportunities. I think, we can afford a house worth of 800K. 1. Will I get a loan as foreigner on EP as I dont even have a CPF account yet. 2. I'm planning to apply for PR the moment I get eligibility, after few months. Will my loan prospects increase after getting PR? 3. I reasd that Private Finance companies lend as much as 90% of the value where as banks lend 80% of the value. Is that true? What are the lending rates? me and my wife both have our salarya ccounts with DBS. Is there an advantage?

Hi,

For EP holders, the loan can be up to 80%. 90% due to government measures, banks will not be able to give the 90% loan anymore.

For $800k, depending on the locations, you will be able to purchase at 1-2 bedrooms property.
