Anyone who wishes to appeal can do so, it is only if approval will be granted as all cases are reviewed on case by case basis, so even if there is any precedence of approval in the past, they do not constitute any consideration for your case. In all honesty, I believe that this is generally a healthy problem that you are facing than those whose income are much lower and they are unable to afford the size of a home they like given that they are unable to get the necessary loan size.
