Asked by
My wife (PR) and I (SG citizen) are looking to buy our first property - a resale HDB. Some agents have advised that the strategy to avoid ABSD by having 1 occupier and 1 owner is no longer working. Is this true? We are planning to buy the first resale HDB with my wife (PR) as sole owner, and me as occupier. With this we hope to buy a private property after MOP, with me as sole owner and her as occupier. Can anyone experienced in this comment on this matter please?

Hi,

If there is a Singapore Citizen in the family nucleus, there is no ABSD involved for HDB purchases, hence there is nothing to avoid.

I am experienced and well-versed in both private and HDB resale transactions. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion on your property purchase.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.
