SPR here. we're on 2nd year of 5-year MOP. thinking of selling 5-room flat and downgrade. economy has not been good to me - 2 companies i worked for closed and i had to look for another job. however labour market has been tight and current salary is only half of what I used to make. in short, debts are piling up. your opinions please... possible for HDB to grant request to sell before MOP?

Afternoon, HDB have being telling HDB buyers to be prudent on their finance and work within their means. Given your situation, I'm afraid you can only try your luck which will most likely lead to negative response. Alternatively, you might want to rent out a room or two, to ease your burden.
